Hula or Hoedown!!! Scrappy Boy Has You Covered

🌟 Hey Crafty Friends! 🌟

Today, I’m excited to share how you can unleash your creativity using the mini album and card dies from Scrappy Boy! Did you know that these dies aren’t just for making mini albums? You can also use them to create charming shaped cards that stand out in any greeting card collection and don’t forget, can be decorated up and used as fun elements within you larger scrapbook pages, too!

In my latest projects, I’m featuring the January 2025 release, “Treasure Hunter Kids & Truffle Shuffle” and “Cute Kids Farming,” paired with some fabulous cutting dies. The shaped card concept is a fantastic way to let your images shine!

For my first card, I dug into my stash and found the shirt mini album die released earlier. I cut it out in a range of vibrant colors to mimic a Hawaiian shirt inspired by a cult favorite movie! 🎉 I love how the shape adds personality without needing to use every single element from the die set. It really makes the project pop! Pro Tip: Find patterned paper in place of die-cutting flowers and leaves. Use punches or color up on your own!

Next up is the barn card, cut out from the pretty pattern paper from the “Cute Kids Farming” release. I took inspiration from some delightful clipart and used my Copic markers to color in the barn, giving it that wonderfully distressed look. It’s amazing how the unique shape of the die helps tell a story – in this case, the charm of farm life!

Don’t forget, whether you’re using new releases or crafty treasures from your stash, let your imagination run wild with shaped cards! Happy crafting!
