I had so much fun interpreting this week’s Craft Roulette prompts using Pajama Crafter Stamps supplies — here’s how each parameter shaped the final card.
Project — Card with a Tag
- Tags, tags, everywhere. The most creative is my HASHTAG on the pennant flag! Shout out to my PCS DESIGN #Team, #TeamOrange #Team Purple #TeamTeal
Colors — Aquarium (teal / aqua / navy + pops of orange) The illusion of a large crowd of fans in the background with multi-colored dots are reminiscent of the gravel at the bottom of fish tanks.
- Palette choice: teal and aqua for a fresh arena-lighting vibe, navy for contrast and grounding, and bright orange accents to echo the basketball.
- Technique: blended alcohol-marker layers on Pajama Crafter Stamps Marshmallow Cardstock for crisp, vivid color and smooth transitions. I added ink-smooshing and a subtle navy vignette behind the focal to simulate dramatic stadium lighting. Small glossy Stickles added with teal ink blending on the edges to be a water splash vignette to ground the scene.
Element — March (March Madness theme)
- Interpretation: I leaned into the energy of March Madness—single-elimination drama, buzzer-beaters, and team spirit—by using a hashtag on pennant flag, scoreboard-style accents, trophy, water bottle and the 3 basketball players featured in the Let’s Bounce stamp set.
- Tone: playful and energetic rather than team-specific, so the card works for any basketball fan or bracket party.
Random — Twist(s) (ball + player movement)
- Movement depiction: I created a sense of motion with curved action lines, a shadowed trail on the basketball, and a slightly offset player.
- Mechanic twist: the squiggle with the arrow and the action images showing movement, mimics a motion streak.
