A2 Card featuring April 2022 Release, Everyone’s Favorite Red Head
Copic Markers Used to Color All Images

I started with a piece of white cardstock cut 5 1/4 x 4 and used the Hearts and Dots stencil, which is one of two coordinating stencils released this month. Because I wanted a card to reflect the nostalgia of black and white TV, I used a combination of black and gray to create dimension. I also shifted the stencil slightly and used the dirty blending brush (I didn’t add additional ink) and ink blended over the entire stencil. This created a slight gray shadow.

I then cut the stenciled piece in half in half (the long way), leaving one piece for another project. I then cut the remaining piece in half, long-wise and then one strip in half, leaving one fatter vertical piece and two thinner strips. I ink blended the edges lightly to give dimension.

I cut a piece of black cardstock 5 1/4 in x 4 in. I cut a piece of black and white polkadot 2 in x 4 in. from the coordinating paper pack. I glued the stenciled pieces to the black cardstock. I then glued the polkadot piece 1/2 in. from the bottom of the black cardstock. All the colored elements were popped up with foam tape. A flag was cut for the sentiment.
