Crafting Love: A Valentine Themed Card

Hello or welcome back, fellow crafters! Today, I’m excited to share a card design that combines creativity, love, and some fabulous products from Pajama Crafter Stamps. Let’s dive into the details!

Products Used:

  • Flippin’ Best Stamp Set
  • But First Coffee Flashcards Set
  • Various scraps from my stash for the background
  • Alcohol Markers
  • White gel pen & Colored Pencil Derwent

The Creative Process:

To set the stage for this Valentine-themed card, I pulled together various colorful scraps from my stash, creating a fun, cheerful background. The heart-warming “But First, Coffee” flashcard served as the perfect focal point for our lovable penguin.

For coloring, I utilized my trusty alcohol markers to bring the penguin to life, adding depth and dimension with a white gel pen and Derwent colored pencils. You’d be amazed at how just a few simple details can transform your piece!

Creative Coloring creates illusion of a “cookie”

Turning a Heart into a Cookie:

A fun twist on this design is the heart that the penguin is holding! With a little creative color placement, I turned this heart into a cookie! By adding a tiled dot pattern along the edge and using strategic shading to create a slightly darker hue, it looks just like a freshly baked treat. 🍪

Finding Joy Beyond Valentine’s Day:

I know some people don’t typically send Valentine cards, but there’s always an opportunity to share love and kindness with everyone around us. This card isn’t just for Valentine’s Day—it’s perfect for anyone special in your life, young or old. A simple card like this is certain to put a smile on anyone’s face! 😊

Tips for Easy Coloring:

  • The penguin design is simple—just a classic black-and-white color palette with a pop of pink for the cheeks and orange for the beak and feet.
  • Add a touch of pink and purple to the hearts, and earthy browns for the cookie and coffee/tea.
  • Remember, crafting is all about enjoyment! It’s just paper and ink, so have fun with it!

Hula or Hoedown!!! Scrappy Boy Has You Covered

🌟 Hey Crafty Friends! 🌟

Today, I’m excited to share how you can unleash your creativity using the mini album and card dies from Scrappy Boy! Did you know that these dies aren’t just for making mini albums? You can also use them to create charming shaped cards that stand out in any greeting card collection and don’t forget, can be decorated up and used as fun elements within you larger scrapbook pages, too!

In my latest projects, I’m featuring the January 2025 release, “Treasure Hunter Kids & Truffle Shuffle” and “Cute Kids Farming,” paired with some fabulous cutting dies. The shaped card concept is a fantastic way to let your images shine!

For my first card, I dug into my stash and found the shirt mini album die released earlier. I cut it out in a range of vibrant colors to mimic a Hawaiian shirt inspired by a cult favorite movie! 🎉 I love how the shape adds personality without needing to use every single element from the die set. It really makes the project pop! Pro Tip: Find patterned paper in place of die-cutting flowers and leaves. Use punches or color up on your own!

Next up is the barn card, cut out from the pretty pattern paper from the “Cute Kids Farming” release. I took inspiration from some delightful clipart and used my Copic markers to color in the barn, giving it that wonderfully distressed look. It’s amazing how the unique shape of the die helps tell a story – in this case, the charm of farm life!

Don’t forget, whether you’re using new releases or crafty treasures from your stash, let your imagination run wild with shaped cards! Happy crafting!

Crafting the Perfect Birthday Cake

Featuring Forever 29 Stamp Set

🎂 Craft Your Perfect Birthday Cake with the Forever 29 Birthday Cake Stamp Set!🎉✨

Hey crafty friends! 🌟 I’m absolutely thrilled to dive into the creative waters with you today! Let’s explore how you can craft your perfect birthday cake using the fabulous Forever 29 stamp set from Pajama Crafters Stamps! If you’re ready to take your birthday cards to the next level, this is your golden opportunity! 🌈

The Forever 29 cake is not just a stamp; it’s your blank canvas for customizing stunning birthday cards that celebrate your loved ones in whimsical ways! One of my favorite techniques is pairing it with the adorable smaller stamps in my stash, particularly from the What the Krill set! 🐠💖

Custom Birthday Card with elements from
WHAT THE KRILL stamp set

Recently, I created a custom underwater-themed card utilizing this stamp set combo, and I can’t wait to share my process with you! Here’s how I brought my birthday cake concept to life:

  1. Stamp Image: I stamped the XL cake image onto a card front using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, which is safe for Copic coloring or any alcohol markers from your crafty stash.
  2. Color Explosion: I chose a vibrant palette of pinks, purples, and blues to create that enchanting beachy sunset vibe. These colors set the perfect tone for an underwater adventure! 🎨🌅
  3. Layering Fun: Using the Forever 29 as my base, I layered in the charming krill and tiny sea creatures, creating a lively scene that draws you in!
  4. Textural Elements: To make it even more delightful, I incorporated Stickles and Crystal Effects / 3D clear glaze bits for a fun effect and to add dimension and added interest. For a fun change, you could consider adding sand or grit paste and create a crumb layer, mimicking the ocean floor! 🏖️✨
  5. Limitless Creativity: The sky is truly the limit! Whether you want to create bubbles, seashells, or playful fish to swim around the cake, you can personalize it for any birthday celebration!
The perfect canvas for any celebration!

Not only does this project overflow with creativity, but it also allows you to utilize those smaller stamps that you’ve been meaning to incorporate into your crafting. This can be a cake for any reason….NOT JUST BIRTHDAYS! Think anniversaries, retirement, pet adoptions, graduations, milestones….let your imagination run WILD!

You’re So Zazzy!!

Grayscale Slimline Card feat. Scrappy Boy Stamps

I’m excited to share my latest creation just in time for Valentine’s Day!!! The additional space a slimline card offers, paired with an elegant grayscale palette, I was able to showcase all of the charming characters from the release on one card! I used the following supplies from Scrappy Boy:

💥 Math, Science & History
💥 Unravel the Mystery
💥 Stitched Scalloped Slimline Dies

I used Scrappy Boy’s nesting stitched scallop slimline dies and cut layers in black and white, as well as tucking a metallic layer for extra interest.

I also used a scalloped stitched circle for the sentiment. White embossed hearts on red metallic paper were made in an odd number, just 3, and placed in a triangular fashion so your eyes are drawn to view the entire project.

Use gel pen & acrylic paint pen for added interest

To add a little more flair and tie in the red metallic card, I used a red SHARPIE Creative marker and white gel pen, and coordinating enamel dots to finish off my card.

2025 New Beginnings – New Planner Layout featuring NEW Planner Stickers from Stamp Anniething

The Sassy Club Spiral Planners

🌟✨ Exciting First for Me! ✨🌟

I just created a fun planner layout using my favorite planner from Sassy Club Stamps, specially designed for those who love using alcohol-based markers and other mediums! 🎨🖌️ If you’re looking for the best planners for decorating, the Sassy Club has a fantastic selection that I highly recommend. They have different styles, but this one is my favorite, it lays flat and the alcohol ink does not bleed through other side of paper.

Spiral Comes in Pink or Blue Laminated Covers

It’s been such a joy to color, ink blend, and experiment, but sometimes I crave a quick and easy layout that still looks like it took hours to create.

Cute Winter Penguin Theme from Stamp Anniething

Thanks to the new stickers from Stamp Anything, I achieved just that! 🐧💖 I noticed there are only four sets left, so if you love what you see, don’t miss out—check it out here: Winter Penguins January Sticker Set. http://www.stampanniething.com

Let’s Get Fancy! Fancy Fold…that is!

Hello, crafty friends! Today, I’m excited to share a fancy fold card that I created using the adorable Cute Kids Travel stamp set and coordinating outline dies from Scrappy Boy Stamps’ DECEMBER 2024 release.

This set is not only cute, but it’s also packed with versatility! 💨 Check out the set at http://www.scrappyboy.com

There is something for everyone!! ✈️🚂🚗

Distorted on Purpose

Using just one stamp from the set, I created a card celebrating a new car. But this card could be used for so many different occasions, simply update the sentiment. Now you are ready to…..

  • congratulate a new driver
  • send love across the miles
  • document in your journal or travel log
  • use in planners for travel, vacations, drivers license, renewals, insurance or car payment reminders, just think of lunchbox notes and all the other fun things you can do with these images

If you are not yet familiar with Scrappy Boy papers, they are truly the star of the show on my card today. It is the most LUSCIOUS coordinating paper pack called I Love to Travel. These papers are selected to compliment the images and add the perfect pop of color and whimsy. The paper is such great quality, nice shine and sturdy weight!!! My favorite patterned paper for sure!!!

The fun fold design gives the card a delightful twist and makes it a standout piece for any travel-themed occasion. The measurements are in inches:

  • White Card Base in inches: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 1 1/2 and 5 3/4
  • Dark Patterned Paper – 1 1/4 x 5 1/4
  • Dark Patterned Paper – 2 1/2 x 5 1/4
  • Light Patterned Paper – 2 3/4 x 3 1/2
  • Red – 3 x 3 3/4
  • Belly Band – 1 inch wide from leftover and folded around to fit and glued to connect
  • Cover seam with colored and cut image
  • Use scraps for sentiment and matt with thin border.
  • Decorate with bling, as desired

COPIC COLOR COMBOS

  • Skin – E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20
  • Hair – E71, E74, E79
  • Shirt – RV17, RV04, RV02
  • Car – B00, B0000, B34, C5, C7, C9, BV31

One of the best things about the Cute Kids Travel set is how many creative directions you can take it. Whether you’re crafting for a birthday, a graduation, or just because, the possibilities are endless!

Cheers To The Best Seat!

🎉 Cheers to the Best Seat in the House! 🎉

As we begin our dive headfirst into 2025 this week, let’s take a moment to celebrate one of the greatest joys of the holiday season: getting the best seat on the couch! You know, that coveted spot where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the chaos of family and friends all around you.

This week, I created a card using some fabulous goodies from December’s Scrappy Boy Stamps’ release!

  • Math, Science & History Stamps & Dies
  • Unravel the Mystery Stamps, Dies & Paper Pack
  • I’ll Be There For You Couch Mini Album Die – previous release

This SHAPED card is a whimsical representation of the couch shenanigans we all experience during the holidays. You know what I mean—when you accidentally plop down in someone’s special spot and suddenly become Public Enemy No. 1. 😂 Have you ever been chastised for that? I can’t be the only one!

What I love most about this project is how I mixed and matched products from Scrappy Boy Stamps’ previous releases. I pulled out the I’ll Be There For You Couch Mini Album / Card Die. Have you noticed, Scrappy Boy Stamps’ unique style and size are so consistent, it sometimes feels like their individual releases just beg to be combined!

Copic Coloring on X-Press -It Blending Card

  • Light Skin – E04, E11, E21, E00, E000
  • Cheeks – R20
  • Hair – E23, E25, E29
  • Shirt – R22, R46, R59, Y02, Y15, Y19, N1, B00
  • Medium Skin – E04, E11, E34, R21
  • Hair – E77, E79, C5
  • Overshirt – BV31, BV000
  • Undershirt – YR21, YR24, YR27
  • Necklace – BG45
  • Khaki Pants – E31, E35
  • Shoes – C5, C7

Couch was die-cut in several layers and ink blended with darker distress ink to create depth and texture. Pro Tip: Cut the main couch in a lighter brown and ink blend over the brown, so your base starts as brown snd you don’t have to build up from plain white card stock. Work smarter, not harder!
