The humorous Butt Cracker Suite, paired with the A2 Music Box Die, is all about fun! This quirky collection is perfect for holiday crafting. The A2 Music Box Die adds an awesome interactive element to your card-making projects!

I’m excited to share a special card that highlights the magic of fussy cut stamped images! 💌

So grab some stamped images and a pair of scissors and let’s get crafting!

I started by using white pigment ink on Kraft colored cardstock, then heat embossed over the white ink with clear embossing powder. This technique created a beautiful look reminiscent of white royal icing on gingerbread cookies! 🍪✨

To add a touch of warmth, I blended some walnut stain Distress Ink around the edges of the cut images from the “Baking Spirits Bright” stamp set, giving them that freshly baked cookie vibe. After that, I gently wiped away any excess distressed ink from the embossed images with a soft cloth for a neat finish.

Fussy cut images popped up on watercolor panel with foam tape for added dimension.

Crafting with Purpose: Dutch Door Fold Card Inspired by Craft Roulette

Hello, crafting friends!

Today, I’m excited to walk you through the steps of creating a delightful Dutch door fold card that I recently submitted for the Craft Roulette challenge! Inspired by the improv card-making show on YouTube, Craft Roulette, this project allowed me to showcase my creativity while entering for a chance to win fantastic prizes from beloved sponsors. I made sure to get my card submitted just in time—thanks to the amazing Flashcards from Pajama Crafters Stamps, which made the whole process a breeze!

What is a Dutch Door Fold?

Before we dive into the step-by-step process, let’s talk about the unique Dutch door fold design. This fun fold technique typically allows the top half of the card to open like a door, while the bottom half remains closed by adhering down. I cut away the top “door” and left the bottom door to move freely. I then added the layered square with colored image as focal point. It creates a charming layered effect and adds an interesting twist to your card-making repertoire.

Steps to Create My Dutch Door Fold Card:

Gather Your Materials:

Flashcards – Autumn/Thanksgiving from Pajama Crafters Stamps.
Coordinating paper from your stash.
Enamel dots for embellishing.
Scissors and adhesive.

Cut Your Card Base:

Start with a standard A2 card size (4.25” x 5.5”).
On the top fold, measure about 2 inches down from the top and make a cut from the fold to the 2-inch mark. This will create the “door” effect. Then cut away just the top door.
Prepare Your Flashcard Panel:

Choose a panel from the Autumn/Thanksgiving Flashcards set and cut it into a square that fits the bottom half of your card beautifully. Mu square measures 2.25 inches. Mat if you wish.

Separate the Sentiment:

Cut out the sentiment that you wish to feature. I created a fishtail cut at the end for added style to give it some flair.

Assemble Your Card:

Adhere the flashcard panel to the bottom half of your card base. You can center it or off-set it.
Attach your sentiment strip to the bottom left of the flashcard panel, ensuring it aligns with the Dutch door fold.

Add Embellishments:

Finish your card by adding some enamel dots for a touch of whimsy.

And one of the images was a perfect fit to create a Santa in a peppermint-colored inner tube, making it ideal for a holiday ornament—especially fun for those crafty friends celebrating the holidays in warmer climates! 😂🌴

Crafting a Spooktacular Halloween Card: Unleash the Magic! 🎉✨

Hello, fellow crafters! As we embrace the autumn season, I couldn’t resist diving into the fun world of Halloween crafting! Today, I want to share a whimsical card idea that combines some fabulous products I adore: the Mason Jar Mini Album Die, Ghost Mouse Die Set, the Farm Truck Envelope Add-On Die Set and Marquee Die Set from Scrappy Boy Stamps. Get ready to brew up some enchanting creations! 🌙👻✨

🪄 Here’s How I Crafted This Card:

Jar Full of Magic:
I started by using the Mason Jar Die to create a spooky container that perfectly fits my theme. This jar will be the home for the cutest little pet ghosts, making it not just a card but a magical keepsake! 🐾💀
Adorable Ghost Friends:
Next up, I pulled out the Ghost Mouse Die Set to cut out some charming little ghosts. Their playful expressions are simply irresistible and add a delightful touch to the card! 😻👻
Perfectly Styled Tags:
Now, let’s talk about the Marquee Die Set! I used it to create smaller font letters to add to my tag that accentuate my jar beautifully. You can personalize them with your pet ghost’s name or just label it as “Pet Ghost!” These little details make the card feel even more special. Tie it on with some Bakers Twine! 💖🗒️
Embellishments Galore:
To finish off my card, I added fun embellishments like fall leaves and pumpkins from the Farm Truck Envelope Add On Set. I created a shaker, so this set was perfect to make custom fillers to shake around. The goal is to make this card truly one-of-a-kind, full of the season’s magic! 🎃✨
