Let’s get crafting together! 🛌💌 #PajamaCrafterStamps #StampedbyKelly #HamdmadeCards

Craft Roulette inspired me this week — the challenge was a fun mash-up:
Project: HOLIDAY card
Colors: Forest Colors
Element: Toy(s)
Random: Wonky

I leaned into cozy, rustic holiday vibes and made a wonky, toy-themed holiday card using Pajama Crafter Stamps’ products. I started with a kraft colored card base, layered a white card layer using a smaller stitched panel and 3 separate stitched strips of paper 1 5/8 inch tall with my stitched die and placed them in a wonky format to give the design playful movement. The sketch came from a Pinterest post I loved by Creative Juice by Loni, but I modified it with my stitched dies to add texture and interest, plus I wanted my patterned papers to be more centered and cut them down a bit to approximately 1 5/8 inch x 3 3/4 inch wide.

Design highlights

  • Forest palette: deep pine greens, warm browns, golden yellow sunlight peeking through the trees and berry red accents for a classic holiday feel.
  • Toys element: I used the dinosaur playing drums from Dino-mite Birthday Stamp Set, ornament images from the Weinerful Christmas Stamp Set, pine branch from the Rustic Christmas Owl Stamp Set and the sentiment from the Holly Jolly Christmas Stamp Set.
  • Wonky layout: the tilted stitched panels using 3 different patterned papers from the 6×6 paper pack called WINTER PARADE. plus a slightly askew sentiment strip makes the card feel fun and handmade.
  • Finishing touches: foam tape to pop up focal images, a dusting of white gel pen “snow,” and crystal 3-d glaze and Stickles for some glitz.

Products I used (affiliate link)
https://pajamacrafterstamps.com/STAMPEDBYKELLYBLOG (https://pajamacrafterstamps.com/STAMPEDBYKELLYBLOG)

  1. Winter Parade 6×6 paper pack
  2. Dino-mite Birthday Stamp Set
  3. Holly Jolly Christmas Stamp Set
  4. Rustic Christmas Owl Stamp Set
  5. Weinerful Christmas

Quick how-to (5 minutes)

  1. Cut card base out of Kraft card stock. 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.
  2. Cut a white cardstock out if a slightly smaller stitched A2 sized stitched rectangle to allow some kraft color base to perk through.
  3. Cut 3 strips of patterned paper from the Christmas Parade Paper Pack at 1 5/8 in x 4 or use a size smaller A2 layering rectangle to add stitches on the edge of slightly smaller stitched panel; adhere each panel a little wonky/askew. See photo.
  4. Stamp the dinosaur playing drums image towards the bottom of a white piece if cardstock measuring 1 3/4 2 in x 3 3/4 in. Color with your favorite medium. I used Olo and Copic together, with some white pencil.
  5. Stamp pine branch on top and select 3 small ornaments and stamp haphazardly under the branch, connecting each ornament to the tree using a straight edge and a black fine liner pen.
  6. Adhere the stamped panel to a piece of kraft cardstock 2×4 inches. using dry adhesive mini tape runner. I used the Tape Runner MINI.
  7. Adhere all pieces except the stamped and colored matted panel using the Tape Runner Mini from http://www.TapeRunner.com. For 10% off use code: KELLY10
  8. Add sentiment, Stickles, crystal effects glaze and white gel pen snow; this allows you to tuck a sparkly accent or two.
  9. Add the stamped panel with double-sided foam tape for added dimension.
  10. I used a dirty ink-blending brush with some leftover Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Ink from Ranger. It took a little of the brightness out of the stark white panels to give a rustic or dreamy feel. You can simply add a small amount of the ink to a clean brush snd ink blend off most onto a piece of scrap paper and THEN to your project. It’s very subtle.

If you liked this, try the same sketch with different color combos or swap the images for other critters, toys or ornaments. Thanks for stopping by — and if you shop Pajama Crafter Stamps, I’d appreciate you using my affiliate link above!

Crafting Joy: A Whimsical Card Creation 🎄✨

🎉✨ Meet my latest handmade card featuring a mischievous kitty on a mission to whack those Christmas ornaments! 🎄😸 Using the HIGH FIVE and RUSTIC CHRISTMAS OWL stamp sets, I created a scene that’s all about festive fun! Plus, an ACTION WOBBLER adds a playful touch to this naughty kitty.

Who else has a cat that loves to stir up holiday mischief? Share your stories below! 😻👇 #HandmadeCards #CatMischief #HolidayFun

Hello, fellow crafters! Today, I want to share a delightful project that combines two of my favorite Pajama Crafter Stamp’s stamp sets: Rustic Christmas Owl and High Five. 🦉🐱

Here is a photo using the images from RUSTIC CHRISTMAS OWL set:

I recently whipped up a fun card featuring the evergreen branch from the Rustic set, paired with the playful mouse and fish smaller images as “ornaments” and one of the mischievous cats from the High Five set. The stars are also from the HIGH FIVE set and really pop off the page! The best part? The process of mixing and matching these stamp sets to create something entirely unique!

Step by Step Breakdown

  1. Choosing the Base: I started with a lovely card base in BLACK, setting the perfect tone for a non-traditional Christmas-themed creation.
  2. Stamping the Cat: I stamped the adorable cat, coloring it up with my Copic markers, ensuring to capture all the little details that make it so charming. It sets the stage for a warm holiday vibe!
  3. Ornament Fun: Next, I added the ornaments from the High Five set, hanging them playfully from the limb I stamped onto a piece of Alcohol Marker Friendly paper using a stitched oval die. I used my Copic markers to color the branch and ornaments. I then used Diamond Stickles to add extra sparkle. Their vibrant colors really pop against the background!
  4. Making the Mischievous Cat Wiggle: No card is complete without a hint of mischief! After stamping and coloring the cheeky cat from the HIGH FIVE set, I attached an ACTION WOBBLER on the back of the cat in the middle of the back-side of the cat cutout and adhered it as if it’s ready to pounce on those ornaments. It adds a whimsical touch that’s sure to bring a smile.
  5. Finishing Touches: I added some stamped stars using a Distress Oxide ink pad in WALNUT STAIN and colored up in yellow and added white gel pen for shine.

Why Mixing Sets is So Much Fun

One of the joys of crafting is the ability to personalize every little detail. When you mix and match different stamp sets, you’re not only saving time, but you’re also sparking creativity in ways you might never have imagined!

I love how the Rustic Christmas Owl branch turns this non-Christmas set called HIGH FIVE, into a warm and light-hearted holiday-themed card with a classic feel, while the playful elements of the High Five set give it a modern twist. It’s like creating a whole new story on each card, filled with charm and cheer!

🌈🍀 Happy Valentine’s Day and Cheers to Crafting! 🍀🌈

A2 Fun Fold Stadium Card featuring Pajama Crafter Stamps

While we celebrate love today, over at Pajama Crafter Stamps, we’re kicking off March Madness!

Hop along for chance to win 2 sets from release!

🎉 That means it’s time to gear up for everything from exciting sports events to St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans—and yes, if those Stanley-style cups are your thing, we’ve got you covered!

Introducing the Project: Lucky Leprechaun Fun Fold Card! 🌟

Folds & Mails Flat – A2 size card

Today, I’m thrilled to share a whimsical St. Patrick’s Day card that features a fun fold technique. This A2-sized card lays flat for easy mailing but transforms into a stunning 3D display that beautifully showcases adorable patterned papers and festive images all in one delightful project! It stands majestically on a desk or shelf, ready to spread cheer and admiration.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • A selection of vibrant patterned papers that evoke the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day from the Emerald Isle 6×6 Paper Pad.
  • The cheerful Leprechaun, three-leaf clover and Happy St. Patty’s Day sentiment stamps are from the You’re My Pot of Gold stamp set.
  • Paper Trimmer, liquid adhesive, Heavy Weight white cardstock, Acetate, foam/dimensional foam popdots/tape, bone folder, scoring board, favorite coloring medium and black ink.

Crafting Details:
I’ll guide you through the fun fold technique that makes this card truly special! These folds add depth and dimension to your design, making it a fantastic way to display cute patterns and playful images. Each layer tells a story, embodying the excitement of both St. Patrick’s Day and the upcoming March festivities!

Start with your standard A2 panel- 5.5 in x 4.25 in

Next, using a scoring board or your paper trimmer with a score blade and take your panel in portrait and score 3/4 in from the left and right longer sides of the panel.

Scored down the side at 3/4 inch
Panel Scored at 3/4 inch on both sides
Cut 2 strips white cardstock at 1 1/4 inch x 5 3/4 in
Score BOTH strips using scoring board or paper trimmer at 3/4 in, 2 in, 3 3/4 in, and then at 5 in.

Scored each at: 3/4 in, 2 in, 3 3/4 in and 5 in

Then using your bone folder, mountain fold each

mountain fold each scored line
Here is what we have created as your base without embellishing or glue

As you craft, enjoy the process of layering papers and arranging your stamped images. Every cut and stamp will bring you one step closer to creating a unique piece that captures the essence of celebration.

Now we need to cut patterned papers & embellish

Green Plaid Paper: 2 thin strips cut 3/4 in wide by 5 1/2 inch long, glued to the inside of the A2 panel in those 2 flaps you scored on each side. Cut another larger panel of green plaid 2 3/8 x 5 1/2 inch. See photo above for placement.

Clover Patterned Paper: Cut 1 strip at 1 inch x 4 inches and another, 1 inch x 3 inches. I cut the 4 inch x 1 inch into 4 separate 1 inch pieces, which are the 4 clover squares below. I cut tge 3 inch piece x 1 in half, leaving two separate 1 x 1.5 inch pieces, which are placed in the middle of the 2 squares. The picture below should give you a good idea of placement.

All the cut pieces cut and shown where to place when decorating your stadium card.
The back of project. Cut 2 strips of patterned paper in clover 3/4 in wide by 5 1/2 inches. These will be glued last to cover the seams along the side edges after you glue the top stadium strip and bottom stadium strip.

Cut a piece of clear acetate 1 3/8 inch x 4 inches. This will be placed strategically tucked inside the center panel, once the card base is assembled and decorated. You’ll want to use glue dots or foam tape sparingly to embellish the acetate, being careful of not having foam tape or glue overlap causing some areas to stick together that we want to pop out freely.

Final Touch:

Stamp leprechaun image with Memento black ink and color with Copic Markers (or stamp and color with YOUR favorite medium)

Copic Color Combos:

E05, E11, E00, E000, R20

G24, G46, YG03

Y00, Y02

E07, E37, E35, E33

C7, C5,C3

Complete your card with the adorable Leprechaun and a spirited sentiment that embraces the fun of the season. I used Seafoam Stickles (glitter glue) to add extra shine and interest to my shamrock and coins. This isn’t just a regular greeting card; it’s a joyful art piece perfect for anyone who loves a little luck in their life!

So grab your supplies and dive into this crafty adventure as we celebrate Valentine’s Day while eagerly preparing for the vibrant energies of March Madness!
