🌙 One Small Step for Creativity | Celebrating National Moon Day

In celebration of Apollo 11 and National Moon Day, this card captures the wonder of humanity’s first steps on the Moon. Featuring the Moon Landing Stamp & Coordinating Outline Dies paired with the bold American Flag Die Set from Scrappy Boy Stamps, this design pays tribute to the courage, innovation, and patriotism of one of history’s greatest achievements. With Copic coloring, held together by TapeRunner.com tape runners and a touch of sparkle, it’s a heartfelt reminder to always reach for the stars.

Apollo 11 Inspired Card featuring. Scrappy Boy Stamps

Today we’re celebrating National Moon Day, which commemorates the historic Apollo 11 moon landing on July 20, 1969. What better way to honor that incredible achievement than with a handmade card inspired by one of history’s greatest adventures?

For this patriotic design, I paired the adorable Moon Landing Stamp & Outline Dies with the absolutely stunning American Flag Die Set from Scrappy Boy Stamps. The bold flag creates the perfect backdrop for our little astronaut, while the Apollo 11 emblem adds a fun nod to the mission that inspired generations to dream big.

Easy & No Mess Dry Adhesive TAPERUNNER

To give the flag rich, vibrant color, I airbrushed the die cuts with my Copic Airbrush System using:

  • R46 for the red stripes
  • B29 for the blue field
  • C2 lightly airbrushed over the white stripes to create soft dimension without losing the crisp patriotic look

The astronaut was colored with Copics using:

  • E13
  • E00
  • E000
  • R20

Spacesuit

  • C4
  • C7
  • Copic Opaque White for highlights

To finish everything off, I added a touch of Stickles from my stash to the Apollo 11 patch for just the right amount of sparkle—because even space deserves a little shimmer!

I love how this card combines patriotism, history, and a sweet whimsical character into one clean design. Sometimes all it takes is one small stamp set to inspire a giant leap in creativity!

Summer Week with Pajama Crafter Stamps

Set sail for Summer Week with Pajama Crafter Stamps! This cheerful square card features the adorable Kraken Good Day stamp set paired with layered ocean waves created using the Stitched Scalloped Border Dies, a textured Circle Peek-a-Boo Die, and a sentiment cut with the Banner Die Set. See how I combined scene building, Copic coloring, and dimensional die cutting to create a bright beach-inspired card that’s perfect for celebrating all the fun of summer! 🐙🌊☀️

Set Sail for Summer with the Kraken Good Day Stamp Set

When I think of summer, I immediately picture sunny skies, sparkling water, and fun adventures on the ocean. My featured card layout is versatile enough to be a backdrop for so many different beach scenes. I hope you use these ideas as a springboard to create your own!

For my Pajama Crafter Stamps Summer Week project, I created a bright, beach-inspired square card featuring the adorable pirate octopus from the Kraken Good Day Stamp Set. It’s a playful reminder that summer is all about making waves, exploring new adventures, and having fun!

One of my favorite things about themed weeks is seeing how every designer interprets the same challenge in completely different ways. While some may create camping scenes or floral gardens, I decided to head straight to the beach with layered ocean waves and a cute little kraken pirate ready to sail into summer.

Creating the Background

The background is where this card really comes to life.

I began by die cutting multiple wave sections using the Stitched Scalloped Border Dies. Each layer was ink blended with shades of aqua, turquoise, and soft blue to create movement and depth. A few darker blue marker dots and plenty of white gel pen to create splatter to help give the look of sparkling ocean spray.

To ground the scene, I created sandy shoreline layers using warm kraft cardstock and added additional white dots with my white gel pen to create “splatter” for a whimsical beach feel. I do the same with brown marker dots in different sizes for added interest and texture, think “grains of sand.”

Adding Dimension & Movement

One of my favorite design elements is the large circle focal point. I cut a hole in the middle of the circle to allow me to pop-up a SPIN-CYCLE Micro Rotator, so my boat ROCKS!!!! Follow me on social media @stampedbykelly to see my reel in action!!!

I used the Circle Peek-a-Boo Die to create a layered window effect behind my stamped image. The embossed circle adds wonderful texture while helping draw your eye directly to the adorable pirate octopus. I used 3D Galaxy Gloss, but you can achieve the same end result with items already in your stash! Do you have Crystal Effects, Glaze, Heat emboss with clear powder over your ink blended circle, clear Nuvo drops, clear paste or emboss or cut out of glossy cardstock.) These are all ways I add interest without added bulk.

The circle overlaps the waves and shoreline, giving the entire card a dimensional scene-building effect.

Coloring the Kraken

The star of the card is, of course, this sweet pirate octopus from the Kraken Good Day Stamp Set.

I colored him with Copic markers in cheerful shades of lavender and purple before adding warm wood tones to the boat and rich blacks and reds to his pirate hat. Small white gel pen highlights help bring the image to life.

His little telescope, treasure chest, and pirate sword make him ready for a full day of summer adventures.

Finishing Touches

To complete the design, I stamped the sentiment:

“You Octopi My Heart”

and die cut it using the Banner Die Set. The soft pink banner adds just enough contrast while balancing the overall composition.

Finally, I finished everything with:

  • White gel pen dots for splatter
  • Small heart embellishments
  • Foam adhesive for added dimension
  • Dry Adhesive at TapeRunner.com – use PROMO CODE KELLY10 for 10% off your cart.

We have been celebrating PET WEEK all week, with cards featuring stamped images of our furry, feathered and scaled friends.

I’m so excited to share today’s project featuring an absolutely adorable new set from Pajama Crafter Stamps — Furever Loved from the March 2026 release!

This set is truly a must-have for your craft stash… because honestly, who can resist a cute dog?! 🐶 Whether you’re creating for a friend, a fellow dog lover, or even a heartfelt “just because” card, this set has so much versatility built right in.

💖 Pairing Products for a Versatile Look

For this project, I paired the stamp set with the In My Heart of Hearts Stencil, also from Pajama Crafter Stamps. This stencil is perfect for creating customized, romantic and fun backgrounds—ideal for everything from friendship cards to more elegant, celebratory designs.

And today, I’m sharing two looks using this stencil… one traditional and one with a fun twist!

🎨 Technique Spotlight: Get More From Your Stencil (No Waste!)

If you’ve ever finished stenciling and noticed all that leftover ink sitting on your stencil… don’t clean it just yet! 👀

Instead, try this:

👉 Lightly mist your stencil (depending on your ink type)

👉 Flip it over onto a clean piece of cardstock

👉 Press to transfer the remaining ink

This creates a completely different “negative” impression background—and it’s such a fun way to stretch your supplies!

I used a cardstock that could handle a slightly wetter medium to avoid warping, and the result was a beautifully soft, organic background that looked totally different from the original design.

🐶 Bringing It All Together

For my second card, I paired that transferred background with the black-and-white dog image from Furever Loved, adding just a pop of color to the bow to match the inked background.

The result? A playful, coordinated design that feels cohesive without being overly busy.

💍 The Original Design

I’m also sharing my original card, where I used the stencil as intended. This created a more polished, elegant background—perfect for a wedding or formal celebration card.

Same stencil… two completely different looks!

💬 Which One Is Your Favorite?

Do you love the soft, elegant original or the playful, no-waste background version? I’d love to hear which one you’d choose!

🎡 Craft Roulette Recap | Fruit Salad Bridge Card with Pajama Crafter Stamps

🎡 This week’s Craft Roulette challenge had me creating a bright and playful bridge card using fruit salad colors, a fun “J” element (hello, jammies! 😄), and bold swipe techniques that bring the whole design to life. Featuring adorable images from Pajama Crafter Stamps, this card is packed with color, dimension, and personality!

There’s just something about Craft Roulette that pushes creativity in the best possible way! This week’s parameters came together for a project that is bright, playful, and just a little too relatable.

🎯 This Week’s Parameters:

Bridge Card Design , Salad Colors, Something that starts with “J” and Swipe or Swipes

🃏 Building the Card Design

I started with the bridge card base, which is one of my favorite interactive-style layouts. It creates dimension while still folding flat—perfect for mailing but with that extra wow factor when displayed.

From there, I leaned into the fruit salad color palette, pulling in bright, juicy tones that instantly give off happy, summery vibes. Think citrusy oranges, golden yellow pineapples, strawberry fuchsia, berry reds, and pops of fresh granny-smith apple greens—it’s impossible not to smile at this combination!

🔤 The “J” Element

For my “J,” I went with jammies—because honestly, what’s better than crafting in your comfiest clothes? 😄

I used adorable images from stamp set called PAJAMA POWER available at Pajama Crafter Stamps and paired them with the perfectly fitting sentiment:

“Born to Lounge, Forced to Work”

I mean… if that doesn’t sum up real life, I don’t know what does!

🎨 Swipe Details

The “swipes” bring this card to life. I incorporated:

Rainbow swipes in the background to add movement and energy A coordinating swipe across the bridge panel, tying everything together visually

To anchor the design, I added matted circle elements across the bridge, each highlighting the stamped images and helping guide your eye across the card.

💡 Final Thoughts

This project is the perfect example of how a structured challenge can spark unexpected creativity. The mix of:

dimensional design bold color choices playful theme

…made this one such a joy to create!

Two Cards, One Creative Release: From Magical Journeys to Fandom Fun ✨

Two cards, one release—and completely different vibes! From a magical backpack shaker card featuring a clear-front-and-back gate to a fandom-inspired fun fold, these projects show just how versatile this release can be. Come see all the details!

Hi crafty friends!

Today I’m sharing two very different card projects created from the same Scrappy Boy Stamps release—and I love how each one takes on its own personality!

✨ Shaped Backpack Card – A Magical Journey

First up is this shaped backpack card featuring elements inspired by a certain classic adventure. I incorporated the iconic yellow brick road along with the gates to an emerald city to really bring the scene to life.

The highlight of this design is the interactive shaker gate—and not just any shaker! I created it with a clear front and back so you can see the movement from both sides. It adds such a fun, unexpected detail and makes the card feel extra special.

I used both wet and dry adhesive to put together my elements. For 10% Off TAPERUNNER products at TapeRunner’s website using promo-code KELLY10.

One of my favorite things about the backpack die is how versatile it is. While I used it as a card base here, you could easily turn this into a treat holder or even a mini album by adding a few extra elements.

👀 Fandom-Inspired Fun Fold Card

For my second project, I went in a completely different direction with a fandom-inspired design and a fun fold card secured with a belly band.

This style was perfect for showcasing multiple patterned papers from the release. I love mixing and layering prints, and this fold really lets each one shine while still feeling cohesive.

And for those who recognize the inspiration—this one is a subtle nod to a certain road-tripping duo who spend their time facing the unknown. 😉

💡 Why I Love This Release

What really stands out to me is how versatile this release is. From whimsical, storybook-inspired designs to bold fandom creations, there’s so much you can do depending on your style and mood.

In today’s feature, I’m sharing three distinct card designs created using Scrappy Boy Stamps’ newest release. Each project highlights a different product and aesthetic:

Exploring the newest Scrappy Boy Stamps release has been such a creative journey! For this set of projects, I challenged myself to take three very different elements—the Spooky Farmhouse background, the Wings & Sun dies, and the Little Pig Backpack add-on—and design cards that each tell their own story. From moody and textured to bright and uplifting to sweet and playful, these cards may look completely different at first glance—but there’s a common thread in how they were built. Take a closer look and see if you can spot what ties them all together! It’s my adhesive from TAPERUNNER.COM! Use Kelly10 for 10%OFF only at TapeRunner.com website.

The Spooky Farmhouse 6×6 Background Stamp brings in layered texture and seasonal depth. I cut it down to fit a standard A2 sized card front.

The Wings & Sun Dieset offers a softer, uplifting focal point with dimension. I ran the diecut wings through an embossing machine using a folder from my stash. I think it adds fun dimension, but not necessary. I then applied foam tape in thin strips to create waves and movement. The sentiment is from Bump In The Night and great to send an uplifting message, “Angels Are Always Watching.”

The Little Pig Back-Pack Add On adds a whimsical, character-driven element. Featuring the dry adhesive from TapeRunner and use PROMO CODE KELLY10 for 10%OFF your TapeRunner Cart.

Love putting my layers together with TapeRunner dry adhesive. Less Mess! Convenience ❤️

I wanted the pig to be dressed like a bee, so I used yellow snd black card for the body and ran the mouth diecut through a second time and cut the flower zipper pull a teo times in black to create a bee antennae. The bee is from the Honey Bear Back Pack Add-On Set.. Patterned papers are from the Honey Bear 6×9 paper pack. All of the Little Pig’s body cut from the pink striped patterned papers, with some elements colored with alcohol markers, white gel pen and crystal glaze for added shine.

Coincidentally, I found delight in the “I’ve Got Your Back” sentiment from Bump In The Night, which is a perfect for those who love a GOOD PUN! Perfect for ANY backpack project, LOL!

While each project stands on its own stylistically, they were intentionally designed with a unifying creative approach. Support small businesses and find these products and so much more at Scrappy Boy Stamps
